The latest gameplay trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan offered players a glimpse of various challenging boss encounters. During IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, South Korean developer Neople presented footage of Khazan confronting a boss armed with an umbrella alongside two other monstrous creatures.

The umbrella-wielding boss appears significant to the main narrative, as the trailer included a brief cinematic sequence before the combat begins. Unfortunately, the battle interface remained hidden during these scenes, leaving specific details about this enemy unknown. The other two bosses were identified as Shactuka, a wolf-like beast, and Specter of Bhangau, a ram-like creature wielding a hammer and spike.

Potential Awakened Transformation Revealed

The trailer potentially revealed an awakened form for Khazan, transforming his appearance from his traditional samurai style. In this enhanced state, Khazan radiates a red glow while clad in full body armor, gaining access to new weapon varieties and attack patterns.

While the game already offers numerous combat weapon options, this transformed state significantly amplifies Khazan's offensive capabilities and movement speed. Throughout the trailer, Khazan demonstrated core combat mechanics including projectile blocking, parrying, and executing rapid combo attacks. However, his strikes appeared to minimally affect enemy health bars, emphasizing the game's challenging Souls-like combat approach.

Developers have not officially confirmed details about this awakened form, but the trailer suggests Khazan will utilize this transformation to unleash devastating damage and create extensive weapon combos against formidable foes.
