"Keanu Reeves Returns for John Wick 5 to Continue the Saga"

Author : Dylan Update：May 03,2025

The highly anticipated John Wick 5 has been officially announced, confirming that the iconic 60-year-old actor, Keanu Reeves, will reprise his role as the legendary assassin. The exciting news was shared during CinemaCon by Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. The development of John Wick: Chapter 5 is already underway, with the return of key figures such as Thunder Road producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and of course, star and producer Keanu Reeves. Although no specific release date has been disclosed, fans can rest assured that the project is in good hands.

The decision to greenlight another installment in the John Wick series is hardly surprising, given the phenomenal success of John Wick: Chapter 4, which grossed over $440 million worldwide. Remarkably, each film in the franchise has managed to outperform its predecessor, a rare achievement in the film industry. However, some fans might find the announcement puzzling in light of the conclusive ending of John Wick: Chapter 4.

***Warning!** Spoilers for John Wick: Chapter 4 follow.*
