Inmost, the intricate horror side-scroller, is coming to mobile
It features a three-perspective story designed for a single sitting
Slash through monsters, uncover hidden secrets, and solve puzzles to escape a gruesome fate
With October just around the corner, spooky updates feel especially fitting—though this isn’t just about additions to existing games. Entirely new experiences are arriving too, including the indie side-scrolling adventure Inmost landing on Android on October 28th, after its debut on Apple Arcade back in 2020.
Developed by Hidden Layers Games and published by Chucklefish, Inmost leans heavily into the darker, more somber side of horror. Yet its unsettling atmosphere only deepens the terror as you navigate a mysterious world through the eyes of three distinct characters in this side-scrolling puzzle adventure.
These characters—a knight wandering a crumbling castle, a child unraveling the secrets of a haunting house, and a lone wanderer seeking answers—each face razor-sharp dangers. They’ll slash through foes, sneak in the shadows, solve intricate puzzles, and evade monstrous threats that lead to horrifying ends.

The Inmost look
While creepy, retro side-scrollers may feel familiar, Inmost stands apart with its rich, meticulously crafted world. The trailer hints at startling twists, chilling moments, and an atmosphere that lingers long after the screen fades.
Inmost will be priced at $3.99 and is also launching on the iOS App Store, offering a 3- to 5-hour experience built for one intense sitting. Ideal for a dark, stormy night—or for building Halloween anticipation. Either way, its stunning pixel-art world and lurking terrors are sure to send chills down your spine.
