HAIKYU!! first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2012. The series, created by Haruichi Furudate, continued for over eight years and concluded in July 2020 with 45 published volumes.
The anime adaptation premiered in 2014 and spanned four seasons by the end of 2020. In February 2024, HAIKYU!! returned with a new film centering on the epic showdown between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School — a contest famously referred to as The Dumpster Battle.
