To initiate "Canker," you need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. The wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes provides a perfect opportunity to start this quest, as you can speak to Gules while he's enjoying a drink. However, if you visit Semine earlier, you can also speak with Gules while he's on patrol. Inquire about his past as a bandit leader and offer your assistance in eliminating his former crew. Canker is the first target on this list.

Once you accept the quest, Canker’s location will appear on your map, just north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious, as the route to this location is notorious for bandit ambushes. You have the option to sneak past, engage in combat, or flee from these encounters. Although these random bandits are generally not difficult to defeat, it's frustrating to lose health before a significant battle.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled in the mountains, and it's easy to overlook because you need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for a fight before entering, as you'll confront multiple bandits, including Canker himself.

The bandits might flee depending on the order in which you take them down, but you must defeat most of them. Fortunately, Canker will not escape, ensuring you can complete the quest by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his crew, loot Canker's body to find the Light Mace, which serves as proof of your success. Feel free to take any additional items from him. Then, return to Gules to conclude the "Canker" quest.

Upon completing "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you must wait a full in-game day before you can pick up the next quest, "Handsome Charlie," which also involves Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules to start the new quest.
