"GTA Lead Designer Unveils Techno Spy Thriller: MindsEye"

Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind iconic titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption at Rockstar Games, is gearing up for the launch of his latest creation, MindsEye. This highly anticipated game was recently showcased with a fresh cinematic trailer at the PlayStation State of Play, offering fans a glimpse into what promises to be an exhilarating high-tech spy thriller.

The new trailer for MindsEye reveals a game that echoes some of the elements fans loved in Grand Theft Auto, featuring third-person gunplay, stunning high-end cinematics, and intense drive-and-shoot action. You can immerse yourself in the cinematic experience by watching the trailer below.

According to the official press release, MindsEye centers on the protagonist Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This device, however, has disrupted his memory, leaving him with fragmented flashbacks of his military past. As Jacob embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about his history, he encounters an AI-powered military force determined to thwart his efforts.

Since its announcement, MindsEye has been in development for several years. After departing from Rockstar Games, Benzies established his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy, and joined forces with IO Interactive, the developers behind the Hitman series, to bring MindsEye to life. Described as a AAA action-adventure game, MindsEye is set to debut alongside the Everywhere platform, which we've previously likened to a "Big budget Roblox" following our studio visit in 2024.

Although the latest trailer did not delve into the Everywhere platform, MindsEye itself appears to be a thrilling new addition to the action game genre from a renowned figure in the industry. Fans can look forward to the release of MindsEye in the summer of 2025.
