Transporting players to the medieval era, The Dark Ages offers a distinctly different gameplay experience from its predecessors. This iteration emphasizes a more grounded, tank-like approach. Forget the constant acrobatics of DOOM: Eternal; here, players will become devastating killing machines, focusing on powerful, close-quarters combat.
Key weapons include a shield and mace, providing a brutal, visceral feel. For the first time in the series, players will command a giant mech to decimate smaller demons. Furthermore, dragon riding will add a thrilling dimension to the campaign.
A flexible difficulty system allows players to tailor the challenge to their preferences, adjusting enemy damage and other parameters.
