Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Launches February 21 – Includes Mortal Kombat Crossover

Epic Games has unveiled the exciting new Battle Pass skins for Fortnite's upcoming season, titled "Wanted". This season, which kicks off on February 21, is all about high-stakes heists, complete with gun-wielding villains, gold-laden vans, and explosive bank vaults. It's everything you'd expect from an adrenaline-pumping robbery adventure!

A standout feature of this season is the collaboration with the iconic fighting game series, Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to Sub-Zero joining the Battle Pass, perfectly complementing the season's heist theme with his chilling presence. This collaboration is timed to coincide with the promotion of the upcoming film, Mortal Kombat 2, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.

The new skins will be available for purchase using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks, maintaining the standard pricing.

Returning to the arsenal are fan-favorite items like the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. While other weapons remain unconfirmed, speculation is rife among the community. Many are hoping to see the return of the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, the Tommy Gun, and the Grappler, reminiscent of the previous heist-themed season, Chapter 4 Season 4. However, these are just rumors at this point.

One of the most anticipated features of the new season is Smart Building, an innovative mechanic that predicts the structure you need based on your aim direction, enhancing the building aspect of the game.

The heist theme also introduces a revamped gameplay mechanic, replacing keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's version of thermite, to crack open vaults and secure their rewards, adding a thrilling new layer to the gameplay experience.
