Final Fantasy XVI's PC Port: Performance Bottlenecks Even on High-End Hardware
While developer Naoki Yoshida recently requested fans refrain from creating offensive PC mods, the game's performance challenges are far more pressing. Even top-tier graphics cards struggle to maintain optimal settings. The anticipated 4K/60fps experience at maximum settings proves elusive, even with the powerful NVIDIA RTX 4090.
DSOGaming's John Papadopoulos reports achieving a consistent 60fps at native 4K with maximum settings is difficult. This is surprising given the RTX 4090's capabilities.
However, a potential solution exists: enabling DLSS 3 Frame Generation with DLAA can reportedly boost frame rates above 80fps. DLSS 3 leverages AI to generate additional frames for smoother gameplay, while DLAA is an anti-aliasing technique improving image quality without significant performance penalties.
