Fable: First Pre-Alpha Gameplay Unveiled

A surprise early gameplay reveal of the next Fable installment dropped during the Official Xbox Podcast. The footage offers glimpses of diverse game world locations, the combat system, a variety of enemies, and even a quick cutscene. Fans will be thrilled to see the return of the legendary chicken kick.

Previously, the head of Xbox Game Studios confirmed a delay for Fable, pushing its release from 2025 to 2026. The reason given was the need for further polishing and refinement.

Announced on July 23, 2020, the reboot of this iconic series has remained largely shrouded in secrecy. Three years post-announcement, it's become apparent that Fable is still in its early development phases.

The involvement of Eidos Montreal alongside main developer Playground Games, coupled with the long absence of polished gameplay footage, suggests the game faces significant challenges.
