If you're a sports enthusiast, you're likely no stranger to ESPN, the renowned sports network. Yet, despite its launch in 2018, ESPN's streaming service, ESPN+, continues to be a source of confusion for many fans. While ESPN+ does offer live sports streaming, it's designed more as a complementary service to traditional network channels, ensuring comprehensive coverage for sports lovers.

Explore our detailed guide to ESPN+ for 2025, which covers everything from the service's overview to the live sports available, pricing, and more.

You can subscribe to ESPN+ as a standalone service or as part of the Disney Bundle, which also includes Disney+ and Hulu. See it at ESPN+. ESPN+ is a subscription-based streaming platform that provides access to live sports events, exclusive ESPN films and series not available on standard ESPN networks, premium articles, and more.

It's important to note that ESPN+ does not include access to the traditional ESPN network channels like ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNEWS. If you want to watch shows like SportsCenter, you'll still need a cable or live TV subscription.

However, ESPN+ boasts a growing library of original ESPN shows, including "Man in the Arena" with Tom Brady, "Peyton's Places," and "ESPN FC." It has been the exclusive home for "NFL Primetime" since 2019, featuring NFL game highlights and analysis on Sunday nights during the season. Subscribers also gain access to the entire archive of ESPN's acclaimed "30 for 30" sports documentary series.

For those who enjoy in-depth sports analysis, ESPN+ offers access to ESPN+ Premium Articles, providing comprehensive analysis, rankings, mock drafts, and more from renowned sports writers.
