You begin your journey in Dead Sails with the default class known as The Nothing Role. To switch to a new class, head to the purple-marked class store and participate in the spinning mechanic. There are two types of spins available: Regular and Lucky. A Regular Spin costs 3 Dabloons and offers the following chances:
- Common: 62.5%
- Rare: 30.25%
- Epic: 7%
- Legendary: 0.25%
A Lucky Spin can be bought additionally and provides better odds:
- Rare: 30.25%
- Epic: 64.75%
- Legendary: 5%
Keep in mind that Dead Sails can be challenging due to the stringent spinning probabilities, which may be tougher than they appear. We suggest that new players save up at least 250 Dabloons before attempting to spin for Epic and Legendary classes, preparing for a significant daily grind.
Common Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Pirate** | Boat speed is increased by 20mp/h. | The Pirate falls into **B-Tier** and is the second-best starting class due to its highly beneficial speed boost, which is useful throughout the game. |
**Miner** | Spawns with dynamite. | The Miner is ranked **D-Tier** because dynamite is a situational and often ineffective weapon. |
Rare Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Gunslinger** | Spawn with a random gun and ammo. | The Gunslinger earns a **C-Tier** rating; it's better than nothing but hardly worth spending your Dabloons on. |
**Medic** | Spawn with additional heals. | The Medic is **C-Tier** because the additional healing packs, while a good buff, are not essential to success. |
Epic Class Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Priest** | Spawn with 3 crosses and 1 holy water. | The Priest is **A-Tier**, likely the best class in the game in terms of cost-effectiveness. With multiple Priests in a party, they can be devastating in both combat and resource gathering. |
Legendary Classes Tier List
**Class Name** | **Class Buffs** | **Why This Tier?** |
**Screw Loose** | Has more stamina and better speed. | Surprisingly, Screw Loose is **B-Tier**; stamina and speed are less impactful than one might think at the start. |
**Rich** | Starts with more cash and valuable items. | The Rich class is **S-Tier** because, as in real life, having more money opens many doors. |
**Pyromaniac** | Turns anything into fuel, including junk and other items. | The Pyromaniac is **A-Tier**, though it could be **B-Tier** depending on your playstyle. We rank it A due to the significant time-saving benefits it offers. |
**Necromancer** | Revives and recruits the mobs you kill. | The Necromancer is **S-Tier**; it's arguably the most powerful class in the game, period. |
**Trader** | Sells items for a higher price. | The Trader earns **A-Tier** status due to the substantial amount of money it can generate over time. |
**Sheriff** | Gets a cool weapon right from the start. | The Sheriff is **A-Tier**; starting with a powerful weapon is a significant advantage, though not crucial for overall success. |
