Are you ready to dive into the thrilling world of DC: Dark Legion? This action-packed strategy game, set in the iconic DC Universe, is developed by KingsGroup and offers a unique blend of real-time strategy and RPG elements. Although the game is yet to be officially released, it has already captivated players with multiple open beta tests across various regions. This beginner's guide is here to break down the core game mechanics in simple terms, ensuring you're well-prepared for the full launch. Let's get started!
Levelling Up
In DC: Dark Legion, all champions, no matter their rarity, can level up to boost their base stats—Attack, Defense, and Health. You can level up your favorite champions by taking them into battle where they'll earn experience points. Alternatively, you can use EXP potions of different rarities to level them up directly. As your champions grow stronger, not only does their power level increase, but your overall account's Combat Power (CP) also gets a significant boost.
Upgrading Star Count
Every champion in DC: Dark Legion™ comes with a base star count that determines their rarity. For instance, legendary champions start at 5-stars. To increase this star count, you'll need to use shards from duplicate copies of the same champion. This process can be quite costly and relies heavily on luck, making it less advisable for free-to-play newcomers. However, it's a fantastic way to unlock new abilities and enhance your hero's stats if you're willing to invest.
Gearing Up
Beyond levelling up, you can supercharge your heroes by equipping them with powerful gear. In the early stages, you can acquire gear by clearing hideouts. Once you unlock crafting at your base, you can start creating your own gear. Gear comes in different rarities, each offering main stats and varying numbers of sub-stats depending on the rarity. Higher rarity gear starts with more sub-stats, giving your heroes a significant edge in battle.
