In the latest financial report from Thunderful Group, which has faced multiple rounds of layoffs, a notable update on the eagerly awaited cyberpunk platformer, Replaced, has come to light. The document reveals that gamers will now have to wait until 2026 to experience the game, marking another delay in its release schedule.
Sad Cat Studios, the developers behind Replaced, had previously announced a delay to 2025, attributing the setback to the "unique challenges" encountered during development. Originally slated for a 2022 release, the game's launch was subsequently postponed to 2023, then to the previous year. Despite these delays, the studio remains steadfast in its commitment to delivering a high-quality product, fueled by the significant attention and anticipation from the gaming community.
Replaced was first unveiled to the public in 2021, during Microsoft's presentation at the now-defunct E3 event. Since then, the game has captured the interest of many in the gaming world.
While Sad Cat has not yet addressed this most recent delay, the studio continues to engage with its audience by sharing periodic updates on the game's progress. This summer, they released combat footage and a mini-game, giving fans a glimpse into what they can expect from Replaced.
