Big Changes Coming to Clash of Clans in March 2025 Update

Clash of Clans is preparing for one of its most transformative updates in March 2025 — a revamp that answers years of player feedback and redefines how the game is played. This update introduces a groundbreaking shift by removing long-standing limitations, streamlining gameplay, and enhancing accessibility for players across all levels.

No More Training Time for Troops, Spells, or Siege Machines!

Say goodbye to waiting — troops, spells, and siege machines will now be ready instantly. No more idling while your army trains. You can launch attack after attack seamlessly, making gameplay faster and more dynamic than ever before. Hero recovery time is also being eliminated, so your heroes stay battle-ready without downtime. This change applies to all players in Titan League and below, while Legend League retains its current limit of eight battles per day — for now.

This overhaul continues Supercell’s trend of phasing out outdated mechanics. After removing training costs in 2022, eliminating training time entirely removes artificial barriers, giving players more freedom to play at their own pace. As part of this shift, Training Potions and Training Treats are being retired. These items will be removed from all in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining in players’ inventories will be automatically converted into Gems.

Introducing the Match Anytime System!

Running low on active bases to attack? The new Match Anytime system has you covered. When real-time multiplayer bases are scarce, the game will now match you against snapshot bases — saved versions of real player bases that are currently under Shield protection.

These snapshot battles function like regular attacks: you can earn loot and trophies, but the defending player suffers no losses. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, is now expanding to standard multiplayer mode, ensuring you never run out of battles — even during off-peak hours.

Additional Gameplay Adjustments

With the ability to engage in more battles per session, the trophy system is being rebalanced. The number of trophies earned per victory will be reduced to maintain competitive fairness and prevent rapid rank inflation. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to a uniform 10 minutes for all players, simplifying coordination and improving clan interaction.
