Clue's 2016 Suspects Now on Mobile

Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue, also known as Cluedo, and if you're a fan of this classic murder-mystery game, you're in for a treat. You can now step into the shoes of some of the iconic characters from the 2016 edition.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack introduces Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr. Orchid, and Mrs. Peacock. This update focuses solely on these beloved characters, giving you the freedom to integrate them into any scenario you desire, without being bound to a specific crime scene or case file. You can choose your nostalgic favorite or mix and match them with the newer 2023 cast for a fresh twist on the classic game.

Fans who cherished the 2016 version have been vocal about their desire to see these characters return, particularly with the introduction of the more modern 2023 characters. It's great to see Marmalade Game Studio responding to the community's feedback by introducing this pack.

There’s More Coming to the Game!

In addition to the 2016 Suspects Pack, Clue aka Cluedo is also rolling out a new game mode: the Retro Rules Set. This free mode allows you to play by the original 1949 rules, bringing back nostalgic mechanics that alter how you move and make accusations. For instance, tokens will start at designated spots on the board, with Miss Scarlet always taking the first move—unless she's absent, in which case Colonel Mustard takes over.

In this mode, you can only make accusations while in a room, and Clue Cards are entirely omitted. Additionally, you can't move through squares occupied by other players. These rules offer a unique and challenging way to enjoy the game, harking back to its origins.
