Excitement is building as fans of Call of Duty Warzone eagerly await the return of the beloved Verdansk map, set to be revealed on March 10, 2025. Activision had previously announced in August that Verdansk would be making a comeback, but with only a tentative "spring 2025" timeframe. However, a recent visit to the Call of Duty shop unveiled a countdown timer pointing to March 10, 2025, and a special "The Verdansk Collection" pop-up, as reported by InsiderGaming.
Alongside the countdown, a simple yet evocative tri-color sketch showcases an alpine landscape complete with snow, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—elements that will stir nostalgia among those who explored Warzone's original sandbox. This iconic setting was later updated to Verdansk '84 in Season 3 and eventually replaced by Caldera in 2021. Currently, the only way to revisit Verdansk is through Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.
This news comes as a pleasant surprise to fans who were disheartened by the 2021 announcement that "current-day Verdansk is gone and it's not coming back." The anticipation for its return is palpable, and players are eager to dive back into the familiar terrain.
In other Call of Duty news, Black Ops 6 Season 2 is now live, bringing with it five new Multiplayer maps: Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind. The season also reintroduces the fan-favorite Gun Game mode, along with new weapons and operators. Additionally, a high-profile Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event has been launched, much to the delight of fans.
