Bug Out Event Returns with Sizzlipede Debut in Pokémon Go

Author : Mila Update:Apr 03,2025

The Bug Out event is set to make a thrilling comeback in Pokémon Go, featuring an array of Bug-type Pokémon and introducing Sizzlipede along with its evolution, Centiskorch. Scheduled from March 26th to 30th, this event promises a host of wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and exciting new challenges to engage players.

During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be key. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but they'll also enhance the Pokémon spawn rate at a PokéStop if a sufficient number of Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Participants can look forward to earning double XP and additional Candy for Nice Throws or better, with increased chances of obtaining Candy XL for trainers at level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will be delighted with improved odds of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.

The event will see a surge of Bug-type Pokémon in the wild, including frequent sightings of Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. Lucky players might even stumble upon Cutiefly.

ytIn one-star raids, you'll encounter Sizzlipede, Scyther, and Nincada, while three-star raids will feature Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor. Completing the event-themed Field Research tasks will grant you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event-specific Pokémon.

A free Timed Research opportunity awaits, offering encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, plus a Lure Module. For those seeking extra rewards, a Paid Timed Research option is available for $2 or its local equivalent, providing encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, as well as two Premium Battle Passes and an additional Lure Module.

Don't miss out on the new Collection Challenges, which will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters. Also, keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases, where event-themed Pokémon will be highlighted. Be sure to check the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket.
