TED Tumblewords has arrived on Android. Frosty Pop developed this word puzzle game in partnership with TED. If the title seems recognizable, it is because Netflix Games originally launched it back in November 2024.
However, that version was discontinued as of July 2025, aligning with many other titles from Netflix Games that were retired around the same period. Later that month, Frosty Pop revealed plans for a standalone release.
Wordplay, reinvented!
TED Tumblewords on Android focuses on sliding rows and columns to arrange letters and connect them into words. Each brief session is clever, swift, and slightly mind-bending, featuring trivia inspired by TED Talks.
This minimalist puzzle game ensures every round lasts only a few minutes. The word-search mechanics may remind you of spinning and shuffling a cube. As you locate words, the board itself moves to facilitate their formation.
Special letters on the grid award bonus points, while longer word chains result in higher scores. Take a look at the gameplay right here.
TED Tumblewords remains light and approachable on Android --------------------------------------------------------------Inspiring quotes from TED Talks welcome you upon starting. Each puzzle serves as a brief mental workout, keeping your vocabulary sharp while offering an excuse to indulge in trivia.
The game features daily challenges such as the Daily Ladder, where you ascend higher by finding more words. The Daily Six task requires spelling six words to secure your top score. Additionally, the Daily Match pits you against the TED bot for a competitive edge.
Categories span from Science in Movies and the Psychology of Superstition to straightforward topics like Health. Clearing a grid unlocks a fact card related to that subject, which also serves as a collectible trivia item.
You can set up turn-based matches by inviting friends or battling random opponents. If you missed out previously due to the Netflix requirement, you can now play it directly. Download it from the Google Play Store; it is free to play.
