'Assassin's Creed Shadows' Pushed to March 2025 for Player Optimization

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed To March 2025 to Implement Player Feedback

Assassin's Creed Shadows' release is shifted to March 2025. Ubisoft prioritizes incorporating player feedback to enhance the overall gameplay experience. This article delves into the reasons behind the delay and Ubisoft's future plans.

Ubisoft Prioritizes a More Immersive Experience

Assassin's Creed Shadows' launch has been rescheduled to March 20th, 2025. Ubisoft emphasizes the importance of integrating player feedback to deliver a superior, immersive gaming experience. This marks the second delay for the game, initially slated for 2024, then February 14th, 2025.

Ubisoft's official announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook explains that valuable community feedback informed this decision. While significant progress has been made, an additional few weeks are deemed necessary to fully incorporate this feedback and ensure a more engaging launch.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Delayed To March 2025 to Implement Player Feedback

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot reinforced the announcement, highlighting the commitment to delivering the most ambitious Assassin's Creed title yet. The extra development time will allow for better integration of player feedback, maximizing the game's potential and ensuring a strong year-end release.

The press release also revealed Ubisoft's strategic restructuring initiatives, including appointing advisors to explore options for maximizing stakeholder value. This follows the underperformance of 2024 releases like Star Wars Outlaws and the early closure of XDefiant.

While officially attributed to player feedback integration, speculation suggests the delay might be a strategic response to the crowded February 2025 game release calendar, featuring titles such as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Civilization VII, Avowed, and Monster Hunter Wilds. This postponement could potentially garner increased attention for Assassin's Creed Shadows.
