Lawnchair Legacy represents a mature, feature-complete iteration of the Lawnchair launcher, built on the foundation of Launcher3 from Android 9. This version is now in maintenance mode, meaning it will only receive critical updates necessary for compliance with the Google Play Store and security enhancements.

Lawnchair utilizes the AccessibilityService permission to optionally enhance system functions, such as desktop gestures for actions like turning off the screen. The launcher will prompt you to enable this service if it's required for your specific configuration. Rest assured, no data is collected through the AccessibilityService; it's solely used to execute system actions.

Additionally, Lawnchair can use the Device Administrator permission to lock the screen upon detecting a designated gesture. This feature is optional and comes disabled by default, ensuring users have full control over its activation.
