But beware: failure to extract means losing all gathered loot.

4. Prepare Your Tactics

In Lost Light, thorough preparation inside your Shelter is key to survival. This includes staying in peak physical condition, upgrading and tuning your combat gear, and organizing your personal equipment. Since engagements can erupt without warning, judicious equipment selection is vital. Fortunately, your Smart Pet is ready to assist, carrying extracted goods from the Exclusion Zone or attempting to recover lost items if you fall in combat.

5. Varied Social Encounters

On the real battlefield, alliances are fleeting. You may choose to aid other players, form temporary squads, and escape together. If you are downed, you can send an SOS and broadcast your position. Yet, you can never be sure if an approaching player comes as an ally or an adversary.
