During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo unveiled a host of new features. The Nintendo Switch 2 sports a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to its predecessor, maintaining the same thickness of 13.9mm but with significantly more pixels. In handheld mode, it supports a crisp 1080p resolution at up to 120fps, utilizing an LCD screen with HDR capabilities. When docked, the system can deliver stunning visuals at up to 4K resolution with HDR.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers have been enhanced, featuring a magnetic connection system and a release button for easy detachment. The SL and SR buttons are now larger for improved comfort when playing horizontally, and the analog sticks have been upsized as well. Excitingly, this segment also confirmed the addition of mouse control support in the Joy-Con controllers.

The handheld mode of the Nintendo Switch 2 is packed with advanced features, including a built-in microphone with noise-canceling technology and 3D audio support for compatible games. The console also comes with a more robust and adjustable stand, allowing for various viewing angles. Additionally, a top USB port offers versatility for external camera connectivity or charging the system in tabletop mode.

Storage capacity has been significantly upgraded, with the Nintendo Switch 2 coming equipped with 256GB of internal storage.
